Partnership Conferences

The 5 South West Probation Areas, in association with Clinks and ALLIANTIST, organised a series of conferences which took place during April 2007 targeting potential partners / providers from the Voluntary, Community and Private sectors across the South West Region and beyond.

The primary purpose of the conferences was:

  1. To raise awareness and understanding amongst potential partner / provider organisations re the SW Probation Region approach to Alliances and Sub-contracting in the context of 'Public Value Partnerships.'
  2. To promote the concept of Alliances / Partnership working with a range of potential partner / provider organisations from the Voluntary, Community and Private Sectors.
  3. To assist and support potential partners / providers in assessing their capability and capacity to engage effectively in partnering with one or more of the 5 South West Probation Areas in the delivery of our two priority aims of:

The conferences included a series of workshops on the theme of Alliances and Partnership Working. The workshops used proven maps, models and tools detailed in the book Alliance Brand: Fulfilling the Promise of Partnering, published by Wiley.
